Not bad for $30
Harrahs "Lawn" venue wasn't in the best shape with a large soggy area covered in hay. They really seem to have their act together for these events. Jonny Lang opened the show and was very good. His voice was amazing. I expected more from his guitar playing. Not that it was bad, but he seemed to fall back on two or three blues licks. Shrek The Musical was very entertaining and as I mentioned in the review title, for the price it was good. Even the hired gun guitarist in his band was sloppy. I doubt I would see Shrek The Musical again but would see Lang again for the price. Now before I start, I understand that Shrek The Musical is a blues legend and that by its nature, blues guitar can be a bit sloppy (even though it doesn't have to be). Shrek The Musical's playing was way more sloppy than i'd expected, sometimes playing entire phrases out of key.
